World Health Organization updates on coronavirus outbreak – 2/6/2020

World Health Organization officials are holding a news briefing Thursday to provide updates on the new coronavirus outbreak. The new coronavirus has now killed at least 565 people worldwide and infected over 28,000 people in more than two dozen countries. WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said Wednesday that the number of confirmed cases grew by more than 3,100, which he called “the most cases in a single day since the outbreak started” on Dec. 31.
