World Health Organization Holds Coronavirus Briefing | LIVE | NowThis

ROUGHLY 100K CORONAVIRUS DEATHS IN THE U.S.: Leaders from the World Health Organization deliver updates on the latest worldwide developments of the coronavirus outbreak. Yesterday the United States surpassed 100,000 coronavirus deaths, according to Worldometer. Although the U.S. accounts for less than 5% for the world’s population, it has suffered about a third of all COVID-19 deaths around the world. California has become the fourth state to surpass 100,000 cases, while at least 17 other states across the country are reporting an increase of cases as well. Many states that are seeing this increase were the first to begin reopening some businesses, showing that moving too quickly could be a costly move.
